What is Logo Farm?

Logo farm is a one-stop shop for DASNR logo needs. We have prepared and uploaded more than 5,000 individual logo files in Logo Farm! However, if you don't find what you need, please let us know! (Also, with this volume of files, errors are likely, so please let us know if you see any mistakes.)

Each link below contains a ZIP folder in a variety of configurations, file formats and color spaces.

Which file should I use?

When you download a suite of logos for a particular unit, you may be overwhelmed by the options! Use the information below to help you decide which file you should use.

  1. Choosing which configuration to use
  2. You'll first need to decide which configuration better meets your needs.
    • Horizontal: unit name to the side of the triangle
    • Vertical: unit name below the triangle
  3. Choosing which color space to use
  4. After you choose "horizontal" or "vertical," you'll need to choose which color space you'll need. There are 5 color options for most units (with a version with white text and black text for each color space). The colors are described in the file name.

    • 166&K: Use this if your vendor requests a two-color file using OSU's official orange (Pantone Matching System 166) and black (K)
    • CYMK: four-color process (cyan, yellow, magenta, black) suitable for commercial printing presses
    • Grayscale: black-only file with shades of gray
    • K: black only
    • RGB: web color (red, green, blue) suitable for online applications or in-office or digital printers.

Note: All .png files are prepped as RGB color spaces. If you prefer to use a .png file and need a different color space, you will need to convert it manually in Photoshop.

  5. Choosing which file type to use
The final decision you'll need to make is which file type to use. You'll see two versions of every color space: a .eps file and a .png file
    • The .png files included are high-resolution master files. You can use these files for the majority of your projects.
    • .eps files are vector files that can be resized exponentially. Most likely, you won't need this file unless you're working with a vendor who requests a vector file or are designing something to be printed professionally.

If you're using the logo in a digital format or to be printed on your office printer, you'll most likely want the RBG color space .png file.

If you're using the logo on something that will be printed professionally, you'll most likely want the CMYK .eps file.

Consult the DASNR Style Guide to ensure you're using the logos correctly.
